The annual Wahzhazhe Cultural Encampment is an overnight outdoor camping experience for enrolled Osage Members, traditionally held in the fall. In 2020 it was expected to be held in the spring, but like many other events, it was canceled out of concern for our Osage Member's health. Plans for future encampments will be announced at osageculture.com and on Osage Nation social media platforms.

The encampment is a fun, family-friendly event that aims to provide insight and knowledge to our Wahzhazhe people and encourage historical learning and cultural activities. You will experience our history and culture through modern eyes on a very basic level. You will be able to attend a variety of cultural presentations and workshops.

Held outdoors at the Osage Nation Ranch, attendees must bring their camping gear, including a tent, sleeping bags, and clothing appropriate for staying outdoors in Oklahoma. All meals are prepared on-site.

Registration is required to attend the Cultural Encampment. Applications will be available from this page when registration opens. Keep an eye on our social media for the announcement later in the year!
