The Osage Nation Language Department (ONLD) opens registration for 2025-2026 community classes. Virtual and in-person courses to begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for all ages. Various levels are offered, including Children’s Classes, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Orthography, Reading & Writing, and more. All classes are free of charge.
The ONLD was established in 2003 to revitalize the Osage Language to its purest form and teach Wahzhazhes to speak Osage in daily conversation. Our language is not just a part of our history, but a living, breathing aspect of our daily lives, connecting us to our past and guiding us into the future.
ONLD Director Braxton Redeagle looks forward to another academic year with Osage Nation Language Department teachers, staff, and students.
“We encourage Osages and Osage community members to find a class time and location that fits their schedules,” said Redeagle. “Learning and sharing our language is something everyone can do to contribute to our Nation and protect our sovereignty.”

Registration for ONLD’s Community Classes can be found at the Osage Nation Service Portal. Classes begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025. For questions, please contact @email.
